...to Modern Conservative 2.0!The staff of Modern Conservative is pleased to announce the advent of Modern Conservative 2.0.
We have begun by creating a completely new look and feel for the site, one which we're confident readers will find both appealing and user-friendly.
Henceforward, we are beginning a series of expansions and upgrades to existing features; the addition of new features; and the realization of some long-anticipated objectives. Today is but a beginning.
As always, our blog—Modcon Central—will continue covering the latest news, as well as providing commentary and analysis on a variety of social, cultural, and political topics. In the next few weeks, we will be welcoming some new contributors, thus adding energy, debate, and a broad range of conservative viewpoints to the blog.
Our many topical pages explore issues of religion, patriotism, music and film, and much more. Our home page and news sections continue their focus on headlines, top stories, latest "outrages" and more.
And remember, our headlines are not mere aggregated RSS feeds. Each headline, in each of our ten categories, is hand-selected by our staff to bring you news stories of particular interest and importance. (Oh, and we don't run with headlines sensationally hawking unsubstantiated rumors!)
Our special Hollywood Conservative section has a feature designed specifically for conservatives working in the entertainment industry, wherein they can post an industry resume. This database is then searchable by casting and production personnel looking for trustworthy and talented conservatives to work on particular projects.
Our New Wide Awakes section keeps readers apprised of a recent development: the outreach of conservatives and Republicans to the African-American community!
And of course, in our Dextrosphere™ section, we continue our ongoing work to create a complete library of conservative books and DVDs, blogs, organizations, and more...a conservative great library of sorts.
We have also temporarily "closed" a few older features while we upgrade them.
So, keep checking in, not only for the latest news and opinion, but also to see the new features and expansions we will be adding as we move forward.
From all of us at Modern Conservative... Thanks!

Michael Donnella has been involved in politics since attending Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT, from 2003-2007, where he graduated with a government and African-American studies degree. While he was in college, he became involved in talk radio and maintained a position as editor-in-chief of a campus literary magazine, The Ankh. Michael credits his political philosophy to Barry Goldwater, and his love for politics to his teachers and professors. When he is not writing and talking politics, Michael is spending time at home with his wife Caitlin and son Anthony in Ann Arbor, MI.
A Son of the American Revolution and originally a JFK-style, “Ask what you can do for your country” Democrat, Eric’s fairly brief road to becoming a modern conservative began the day he realized what the immortal Ronald Reagan previously had: he hadn't left the Democrat Party; the party had left him. Reading Larry Elder’s groundbreaking Ten Things You Can’t Say in America also played a crucial role.
Some ten years after coming over from the dark side, Eric (a.k.a. Mr.EPluribus) actively participates in many conservative community events, wearing so many hats that Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Leon Wilkeson looks down proudly from heaven: Talk-show host/producer/director/editor of the Freedom Broadcast Network’s Mr.EPluribus; Hollywood Republican; voiceover talent; San Fernando Valley Republican, Eucharistic Minister for the Sick and Homebound; and on and on. Unbelievably, he also finds enough time for his lovely girlfriend Brooke and their funky-awesome Tibetan terrier Grover.
Eric is pleased to be a part of the Modern Conservative team, and he's looking forward to continuing to indulge in writing about his longest love affair: music. |
